Festival Details
The Shattered Glass Project is proud to present a festival of five original one-act plays written and directed by the members of the 2021 Director and Playwright Incubator/Mentor cohort. These five scripts are all original works developed specifically for the I/M Program, receiving a world premiere at the Festival.
Shown via live premiere on YouTube at 7 p.m.
Each evening includes a talkback with the directors and playwrights on Zoom following the performances. Tickets for the festival are Pay-What-You-Will; festival passes and individual night tickets are available.
Navigating the Playwright-Director Relationship
How do playwrights get a new play on stage? What do directors do to make a new script come to life?
A robust discussion of the creative process between the primary creative decision-makers for any theatrical endeavor: the playwright and the director. Led by playwright Alma Davenport, founding artistic director of Brown Soul Productions, a group of 8 playwrights and directors will respond to burning questions, crafted by the cohort members of the 2021 TSGP Incubator/Mentor, about their working relationships. Live streamed on YouTube. The recorded panel will be available after the event. Pay-What-You-Can tickets. More information at https://www.shatteredglassproject.org/playwright-director-relationship

Can they bring back the QOTD to her quarreling mom and spouse before the dead overwhelm the world of the living? Can Atropos prove her worth? Can Clotho live her dreams? Can Lachesis get everyone to just calm down and follow the rules? Join us for answers to these questions and so very much more.
