“The Care and Keeping of You’ never prepared me for creeping existential dread.”

Nils

Trigger Warning: suicide, child sexual abuse, transphobia

Performances: February 26 and 27, 2021, 7:00 p.m. Pacific time

When Nils's ex-girlfriend dies suddenly, she drags him back into a toxic online roleplay scene he swore he'd never return to. He'd been doing okay sticking to his seven-year plan for getting over their breakup - but now, everyone either blames him or expects him to have answers, and he's getting nasty anonymous messages that might be coming from beyond the grave.

A nuanced examination of identity, trauma, assault, grief, and mental health through an online world.

Written by Aliza Goldstein | Directed by Alison Kozar

All tickets are Pay-What-You-Will. Zoom information will be sent no later than 24 hours prior to show time.

I think about that a lot
How all our roleplay posts and fan art and selfies and
memes are our ghosts
Growing and growing
Until they become us
Until all that we are is what we’ve screamed into the void
Echoing around the internet until the plug finally gets
pulled and someone takes a magnet to the server and
the digital cloud turns into electric snow.
