Audition information - All New Cells
Thank you for your interest in The Shattered Glass Project production of "All New Cells" written by Aliza Goldstein and directed by Alison Kozar.
Auditions will be conducted via video audition submission. Any potential callbacks will be conducted via Zoom.
Trigger warnings: Auditioners should note that All New Cells is a story which includes elements of suicide, child sexual abuse, and transphobia. This Zoom production will be supported by a consent ombudsperson. Questions about the script and other potential trigger elements may be addressed to us at theshatteredglassproject@gmail.com and we will arrange for responses from the director.
A full copy of the script is available here. (Please note that all rights are retained by the playwright Aliza Goldstein.)
Casting notes and information:
The characters of Moody, Nils, and Lux have already been cast.
All roles are open to actors of any ethnicity or race. The LGBTQIA+ community is multi-racial and we would like to see either of the roles available played by BIPOC artists who identify with the gender and/or body size of the characters as described below.
Roles available:
Aeon - Female. Early 30s. Wants very badly to be "the mom friend," is an actual mom. The least queer person here but she can hang. Visibly size 18 or above. Wears glasses.
We are actively seeking an actor who is visibly size 18+ to play the role of Aeon.
Audition Requirements:
Record yourself performing the side for the character.
Note: you are welcome to ask another person in your household to read the other character’s lines off-camera; or to record a Zoom session with another person reading the lines either on or off-camera. For the Zoom option, please include your name and the character you are reading for in your Zoom name, and indicate that the other person is a non-auditioner. If you happen to be reading with another actor who is auditioning, please upload the video for both actors in your separate submissions.
Fill out the form and upload or provide a shared link to the audition video on the Google Form available at https://forms.gle/Ao1XcbLmemANp5SY6
We do not require a headshot or a resume. Theatrical experience and background can be provided on the form or a resume can be uploaded.
